<<I bet you have seen 100 stupider things in person.>>

well of course i have, as Grady is generally good for one brain fart a game (he managed 3 totally inexcusable decisions in Game 7) and i've seen my share of Red Sox games.

the thing that made this decision soooo wrong to me is that McKeon had DAYS to study the stats, to talk to people who knew what they were doing, etc etc etc. the functional equivalent of you sitting 17 and the dealer with a 6, getting to rewind the tape and count the cards, log onto SI and ask Patron what to do, and then after all that doing the odds-on wrong thing, 'cause you had a "hunch".

whatever; it worked, and for that my misery is not compounded by the Yankees not only taking us out but winning the Series as well. and maybe for a couple of days i won't have to hear about Mr Clutch October Always in the Right Place at the Right Time Derek Jeter after his abysmal performance in Games 5 & 6.

the free agent season starts tomorrow, and pitchers and catchers ain't so many weeks away.

congratulations to the Florida Marlins.

Cheers
