The second article gives an example of what to me is a very disturbing trend. Corporate bullying using free trade laws to extort money out of local governments. I have heard so many stories like this that I am now very much against the WTO and the IMF and GATS and FTAA, etc, etc. They seem to be designed to allow big corporations to crap all over sovereign governments all over the world. They want to force all natural resources like water to be commoditised, which means they will be available only to those who can pay the price.
