Do the insurance companies pay for the burned houses and the property therein?

I wonder who cover the costs while they have no houses to live in.

in spite of what we think about our government Yeah sounds like here (Canada)... Despite all the warts how many other places would you care to call home ?

Edit my youngest sister is in Herondo Beach... Pretty much unaffected so far except that her return flight was cancelled and she's landed in Denver I think ...
