Forest fires have never been worse. Not because trees need to be cut down, but because conditions are dry.

What's your basis for saying that? Are you a forestry expert? Are you relying on one? What about the experts (in both the Clinton and Bush years, so it doesn't appear to be a partisan issue) who have noted that it isn't so simple as clearing out dry brush (which, by the way, would involve the use of machines that burn lots of greenhouse gases)?
