heard on TV an opinion regarding slipped MZM recently
curious about what you might think about his argument

a young economist (cannot remember name or house) said that a great deal of money has come off sidelines from money markets to stocks

this resulted in large amounts of MZM being reduced

he regarded this particular shift as not indicating in any way a slip in the powerful monetary forces slugging along the economy

I disagree
entering the stock market does not assist the real economy
it assists the financial sectors by keeping the new bubble echo inflated

unless the money goes to IPO's or 2ndary stock issuance for business expansion, such infusions into stocks are simply diversions into the Grand Casino

comments appreciated

p.s. I use MZM and money supply interchangeably
I know the differences, so please overlook my nomenclature
