You have your very stilted view of history and others have different views. Maybe yours is more accurate, maybe it is not. Even today, one can have a view of events of Iraq that is diametrically opposed to someone else and both can make some sense. The basic fact is that Israel is not going away no matter how hard a few extremists try, hope, pray or do voodoo chants. It's just not going to happen. The US is not going to stop supporting Israel. In fact, the terrorism and fanaticism that is defended here, moves Israel and the US closer. There is evidence that some of the bombers from today's attacks on the Red Cross came from Syria. If true, this will certainly not cause Americans to think more highly of the people you defend constantly. Even if Israel were eliminated, the Muslim terrorists have shown that they will not stop. In order and if permitted, they would go after Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan and continue outward until the ME is a fundamentalist empire. If Israel were eliminated, life would be very difficult for the Christians living throughout the Middle East and possibly West Africa. The posters who use the Bible to express hatred for Israel and Jews perhaps need to think about how Christians would be treated if there wishes came true. This is the real danger and it is not an imaginary one. There are active movements in just about every Arab nation. Yes, the US is actively involved in supporting alternative governments, some that are pretty terrible admittedly. The US is fighting this war on terrorism not just to secure Israel's right to exist but also knowing that there is a much greater danger to us here in the US and that isolationism will lead to more 9/11's.
