Show me the link to where Bush advocates taking ALL the trees in clear cutting. I read somewhere, not recently that there is expontially more forested land in this country than in the mid 1800s. Seems to me the rate and size of forest fires has been increasing for years.

Uh, there ain't no logs in most of these places.

They need to get in and use some sensible management, and clean up the scrub brush in the canyon areas around the damn houses!!!! My whole point, which you missed...and yes, you read it right, IS the tree hugging fools, refuse to allow people to get in and clean up the brush tinder that starts this crap. Heaven forbid they piss off a couple of spotted gnats. Either develop the property sensibly or don't freaking develop it, or don't get any fire insurance,,, bahahahaaaaaa!!!!

Now everybody who owns a house in southern cali has to eat it in higher insurance premiums and building costs. I guess I can't complain, now my safe, urban home will be worth lots more, when I decide to get out of this hell hole.

BTW when was the last time you heard about out of control wild fires in a managed area of forest, like say... the logged areas around Tahoe, Northern Cali?

It's only in the forked up National Forest and canyon areas around LA where there isn't as much logging value so nobody with money want's to fight about it.
