Susie - I've got family in Chatsworth that isn't too far from the fire now...So, my earlier sanguine attitude has disappeared.

burnt mill is very close to the cabin...(on cottage grove)

the fire would have to go downhill and against the wind to get to the cabin at this point, so hopefully the wind doesn't shift

Just wanted to let you guys know the fires are the big story on the East Coast too.

They showed this satellite photo on the news. Yikes ! That's a lot of marshmellows !

They also said that the wind should shift starting on Wed., along with cooler temps and maybe rain on the weekend ?
