It's reminiscent of the Oakland fires a few years back.

That was exactly my first thought when I first heard the news of the fire. The Oakland Hills fire was "fueled" by the tremendous winds that were occurring that day, and there seem to be many similarities with this fire.

I can only hope that some of the "lessons learned" from that fire are already helping those who are fighting this fire. IMO one lesson that hopefully others will follow...if you're in a fire storm area, leave immediately. Possessions can be replaced...they aren't worth risking your life to try to save.

I hope that everyone in this fire area stays safe, and hopefully this fire can be contained.
