American soldiers are dying a little bit at a time. Do you think that when Vietnam started that thousands were dying weekly? It started small and worked its way up.

You missed the point. In Vietnam LBJ refused to give the military what it needed to win the war; it is commonly agreed that this is what caused us to lose the war. In Iraq, that has not happened, and likely won't so long as we don't elect Howard Dean or someone.

While our military is strained due to Clinton's incompetent mismangement of the military, Bush has had the gumption to allow the military pros to do what they needed to.

Ted,

Why bother to argue with DR, he can put more false or misleading statements in one sentence than most people can manage in a week. When I read his notes, I sometimes think it's a put on, that he is just playing an imitation of the ultimate, unthinking hack (to see if he can do it).

Why else would somebody buy into one perspective with such gusto. Everybody knows that 100% adherence to dogma can only mean one thing.
