The basic principle that bothers me the most is that these trade organizations are a new layer of "government" that in fact has very little accountability to the public. They make rules behind closed doors. They are not elected officials. And those rules eclipse the democratically created laws that exists. The rules they make favor larger corporations, at the expense of workers and human rights and the environment.
