As we know wilson now, clearly he is known to me to be totally unsuited for that job. From what I've read about his attempts it seems they were a foolish waste of time. But I don't believe the CIA sent him in order NOT to learn anything.

And that last suggestion I call an idiot identification event cue. Based upon wilson past conduct, it would seem reasonable that a person could conclude he might be able to find out useful info.
