I'm not at all sure this is a factual statement (and you can't be, either); but assuming even that it is, are you so shallow as to not comprehend that it may be necessary for us to go through a period of increased anti-Americanism before coming to a more tolerable level? Over time, once democracy has been established in Iraq, it is apparent that Arabs will respond favorably. But like you and other liberals (but for different reasons), it is conceivable that they may not be able to see past the current fog. Eventually, they will. My middle right hand finger spontenously pointed straight up in the air after reading your sentence... Fair enough. I would say that is your right.
