Let's see who is tougher?<g> - US delivers tough new trade warning to China

United States Commerce Secretary, Don Evans, has warned Beijing that Washington's patience is wearing thin over its soaring trade deficit with China.

Mr Evans, who's on a four day visit to the country, has threatened to close off US markets to China's exports if Beijing fails to make greater efforts to open its doors.

The Commerce Secretary was expected to repeat the message that China's booming economy was NOT providing a "level playing field" for American businesses in meetings with Premier Wen Jiabao, and other senior Chinese officials.
