I would back up my comment with the fact that God tells us that due to our fallen nature we have been given over to a depraved mind. How can someone with a depraved mind be illuminated to the truth of the gospel witout God's intervention?

Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–

Great topic for ( loving ) discussion though.

loving? Tis the key, is it not?

In answer to your question, I think it would require hearing everyones testimony (witness?) I think you would find that each of us was placed into a situation where things were operating far beyond our control and our means to understand to put us in a position to realize God was interested in us. It took me a great while, a big nudge in the form of trouble, to realize what I was being offered.

I accepted it. I think I was placed in the situation by God, but I think it was up to me to say yes.
