this is a tiny app that will give access of some of our company's data to clients. Just a small extension of a Windows app. So I don't see any reason to go beyond Microsoft toolset and OS.

I've very little development experience with the MS tools and what I have was somewhat negative(and tended to grow more so with familiarity).

I was not much of a fan of Microsoft development tools until Visual Studio.NET. I think I am a convert now.
