Hi tippet,

<<probably some short term buying opps coming up in the miners in the next 2-3 days here ... I disagree with those who say this has about "petered" out for this run.
I feel this is going to be one of those sharp -- mini-corrections before we go quite a bit higher>>

I am in complete agreement.

apparently, GOLD has run its course about 18 times
since spring 2002
yet it continues
soon, the story will be the resilience of GOLD
and the new questions about when (and how) the USDollar will end its decline

with the monetary mechanism gone
with the industrial mechanism gone
I believe the USDollar will decline until a major crisis

monetary mechanism: method by which rising rates stem a currency's decline
Fed intervention will not permit longrate rising rates

industrial mechanism: method by which cheaper export prices stem the trade gap and a currency's decline
absent mfg base will not permit expanding exports
