Are you suggesting that we should defer to the wishes of the electorates of Latin American countries, whose abilities to elect great leaders are so obvious? I for one am not going to be able to sleep tonight knowing that Brazilian elites (now that they are done perfecting their own country) have decided that we need a new leader. What will we do? You would also think from listening to American union opposition to NAFTA and other free trade agreements that Latin America ought to be thrilled by the idea of regional free trade.....
