Cabins can be rebuilt. It is good that nobody is in danger. If you asked nicely I could send you the rain mixed with snow that we are getting at this point. All the way through next week in fact. Not ready for snow yet.

One of the sad stories of this fire: The first death that occurred was in the San Bernardino mountains. A man had a heart attack watching the fire. His wife is stuck up on the mountain with no way to get down. The authorities won't let her sons and brother go up the mountain to get her. Not too many other details. Saw the sons interviewed on TV complaining about not being able to get their mother.

hi Jorjie.....i went on MapQuest today to look up
your street....

and had to smile when i saw it was
just the next street over to our old cabin...

kind of wondering if we ever played kick~the~can together
back in those days....;-)

my memories of weekends in Arrowhead are the sweetest and
dearest of my life....the old arcade in the Village....the Sheephearders
bread from Jensen's in Blue Jay!....;-)

well, it's going to be a rough night up there tonight...

i'm thinking of you and Smoothsail tonight...
