NOT A BEAR IN SIGHT! Market takes a quick 3 day hit and the reality of how high we are and how far we have come lingers in many thoughts on this board.

Then we don't float back up, we SURGE in a manner that makes one wonder if anyone learned from the past mania?

When we get a top, many will be hoping to revisit it and even more will be wishing they sold. This market is beginning to act more like 99-00 then I have seen since.

Shack -- I'm wondering if you're still in RMBS. It sure looks like a 3 wave move down completed at the lows, with A=C almost exactly. The move up today overlapped the bottom of the A, so it wasn't a 1 down. I guess it could morph into something else, but seems like a decent play here in Semis-breakout world.

CMCSA reports this week, as I'm sure you know. Nice move there today.

I think this has been at work all along here and the wee dips were nothing but a healthy (trend-wise) loading of fuel:

Message 19274421

I am no more bullish today that I was yesterday or last week or whatever. I am only remembering something I believed back then and am thinking again lately that this is the only way the good short is setup.

I don't think we are very far from this either. I am struck by the gradual change in tone of friends, the press, and advertising (market and financial services). It ain't exuberance yet, but it's not far from it.

It's been a tough whipsaw the last few months. Last Friday we saw the SPX drop back near the June highs... not exactly strong momentum.

I'll go with SPX 1082 (fuzz: +12, -9) for a turn target for a winter decline.
