And how many are taking jobs that American citizens would take?

People say they do work American won't do but it's just flat not true.

The problem w. the illegal immigrant license is:

1) Decline in respect for the rule of law.
Sure, I can drive 80 miles an hour, and be subject to a fine.
But, I'm a citizen. Also, I take the responsibility for my actions.
We who are legal are treated as second-class citizens. Illegales aren't
even arrested unless they commit some violent crime, at the discretion of the INS

2) Decline in wages.
Sure, they live in "squalor" in Mexico, but that doesn't mean we should
give all Americans a declining wage to help them.
Helping non-Americans means volunteers, who join the Peace Corps, and
put their money and time where their mouths are, instead of mouthing off and
coercing others to do their dirty work. Do your own dirty work, out of the
goodness of your own heart, and don't accuse others of being "heartless".
Reminds me of the phony charities with the pictures of fly-ridden children, which
turn out to be thieves that take the money themselves.
Whenever someone says, "Think of the children!" I check for my wallet.
Most are lying hypocrites.

In addition, I've been to Mexico. The poor in Mexico are not living in squalor
for the most part. You can live poor but healthy very cheaply, and they do.

3) Lies and the lying liars in politics -- the next step in these illegal licenses
is illegal registration to vote. Our entire way of life will race to the bottom
and end up being the same squalor as Mexico, with class warfare between uneducated
Spanish-speaking slaves, and those who wish better for their children and who
send them to voucher schools or private schools.

4) It's another lie to say we need to have lawbreakers and slaves just to drive down
the price of consumer goods. One example is Wal-Mart which has been indicted for
hiring thousands of illegal immigrants at slave wages, most from Eastern Europe.

5) Even a wide majority of immigrants think its an insult to flood the borders with
illegal immigrants who have no need to respect even the minimums of citizenship.
They rightfully see their own wages dropping with this influx of slave laborers.

6) Greater sickness and death results from the amnesty and an illegal license, due to
the "giant sucking sound" that will create in a free-for-all rushing in, and
lackluster border control and mules that abandon them in the desert.

7) Vicente Fox gets to create phony sense of progress on the backs of Americans, by
doing nothing, except coercing illegal immigration through incompetent and corrupt American politicians like Bush and Davis. Instead Mr. Fox should be
creating real solutions for his country, which is has rich valleys, a northern
neighbor trade relationship that could change their entire standard of living if corruption were stamped out.

The best way to help other countries is by volunteer efforts of the most generous people in the world, after all, Americans. But like the state slogan says, "Don't Tread on Me", keep out those who can't even comply with the minimums of entry requirements.
