Based on this siliconstrategies.com Japanese have had their B/B over 1 for some time already, where here in US B/B is still below 1.

Article said The total orders for Japanese equipment makers reached 114.14 billion yen (US$1.05 billion) in September, were the biggest since January 2001, according to the report. Where here we have orders well below $1Bln (according to www.semi.org). So my guess was that US companies have lost market share to Japanese because I was under impression that US companies used to have more in sales than Japanese companies.

Thanx
