well if mom and pop end up COSTING the state of California a billion dollars, then some renegotiation is definitely in order. The state should strongarm Oracle, with the backing of the Federal govt and if Oracle refuses to pay for its own costs then Oracle should be "asked" to move to India. I am serious about this. I know Oracle well and there is nothing good for the US-based software industry in Oracle's participation. You saw how they tried to take down peoplesoft, a good company. Oracles ENTIRE R&D facility is India now, the whole thing. I say, shut off the visas NOW and cutoff Oracle's air supply if need be.
