I have a great deal of respect for the military. I was never in, but I have hung out with soldiers and truly admire them. Their courage and skills are amazing. Nevetheless, they are only as effective as the policy-makers who tell them what to do. Unfortunately, we have the worst military policy-makers sicne Vietnam in power now. even McCain admits, Iraq is looking more and more like Vietnam. And he has been a staunch supporter of the war up until now. Latest Newsweek for that article. Chuck Hagel saw this months ago. McCain and Hagel are the GOP leaderships's top combat veterans, some of their ONLY combat veterans. The right wing leadership has no combat veterans at all.
