With all due respect to the credentials of the authors, they do not even mention the key problem to this “solution”: the only available “Hashemite Princes” are not Iraqis. I don’t relish the idea of the US proposing to Iraqis that the new king of Iraq should be a foreigner. I can see how the idea would look appealing from the US perspective, but I can't see it flying very far in Baghdad. What do you figure the IGC would have to say about it?
