Jim,

re: Bush sure threw the Dems a curve. They fact that the Dems took the other side just to have issues with Bush just shows how hypocritical they all all.

The "curve" Bush threw was to saddle future generations with massive debt. The "Dems took the other side" before Bush entered office, by balancing the budget. Bush is running a credit card government; instead of the old mantra of "tax and spend", it's "cut taxes and spend". A worse result. It you want to get the same effect, get 10 credit cards, spend to their limits, enjoy yourself today.

re: Sure could have fooled me. <G> I know the Chicago Dem type.

Probably not. But the Daly democrats (as you call them) supported the V. war to the end. They were as corrupt as they come, constantly trading services and jobs for votes. The machine was a wonderful thing to watch.

If you think this admin is conservative, you don't know what conservative is. They go against most everything that I've understood to be conservative in my lifetime.

If Clinton had produced this kind of deficit, if Clinton had gone on this nation building adventure, if Clinton had set new steel tariffs, if Clinton had dismantled NATO, if Clinton had given no bid contracts to his VP's former company, what would have been your reaction? Would you have applauded him as a great conservative?

The political marketing marketing machine works very well, the label is more important than the actions. Bush can act like a flaming liberal, and get folks like you to believe he's a conservative.

Both sides have good and bad, Bush represents the worst from both. Nothing to do with political parties, just actions. He's going to leave this world in a lot worse shape than he found it.

John
