this is precisely the bind I described 18 months ago I know I annoyed a lot of people with my ad nauseum warnings now we are deep into it I regard every one of those problems you described as UNSOLVABLE that is right, no possible solution in today's environment solutions go counter to every possible political force all efforts will be put to bear on CONTINUATION of the unsustainable until it all breaks I regard the USGovt as having totally lost control already the Fed rate decision this week indicates they will allow the USDollar to be killed at the FOREX massacre all mechanisms are absent to stem the decline Asians will eventually abandon their crippled customers -- us and allow their bond holdings to be drawn down I expect some private deals before long, strange ones e.g. $100B in USTBonds in exchange for Taiwan / jim
