EBAY 'said' they reiterated, but I went back and checked:
They actually guided lower 1 week after their earnings on Oct 16th.

If the analysts missed it, it's because they wanted to.

October 16th they said earnings to be 21 cents per share in the quarter, and 72 cents for the year. Analysts expected EBay to earn 21 cents in the fourth quarter and 75 cents for the year.

Now they 'reiterate'
earnings per share for 4th quarter could be as high as 19 cents. For the year, the company said revenue could be up to $2.1 billion, with EPS of 65 cents.
