You mean the American soldiers who fought prior to the surrender of American forces in the Phillipines? No. They were soldiers and entitled to treatment as such under the Geneva COnventions on the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

After the surrender was another matter.

Were the Minutemen in Boston fighting the Redcoats terrorists???
Yes. And they and those guys who signed the Declaration of Independence knew they could expect to be shot or hung if the war was lost.
