Get the pressure washer out and clean that wall.

The wall was painted with pro-Saddam graffiti and calls for Jihad, or Holy War, in Arabic: "God, our land, our president" and "Youth of Tikrit, rise up against Americans."

Hopefully some of those caught were the ones doing the torture on this videotape and can be brought to justice. They were said to be Saddam supporters and members of his Fedayeen militia.

It was reported that the Iraqi that did the taping is in negotiations to turn over several more tapes. I saw the story on FOX tonight and was shocked.

Videotape Is Said to Show Torture Under Hussein Rule
By THE NEW YORK TIMES

Published: October 30, 2003

ASHINGTON, Oct. 29 — Fox News on Wednesday evening broadcast portions of a videotape showing what it said were graphic examples of torture at the hands of Iraqi soldiers.

The 23-minute videotape showed black-clad soldiers reading off charges in a crowded public square, then meting out punishment — cutting off fingers and tongues, tossing people from buildings and even decapitating one individual.

Fox newscasters said the torturers were presumably members of the Fedayeen Saddam, paramilitary forces loyal to the government of Saddam Hussein, and the video was probably made sometime after 1995.

A spokesman for Fox, Robert Zimmerman, declined to say how Fox had obtained the tape. He said it had been made by an Iraqi citizen who was apparently documenting the torture for the Republican Guard. The Iraqi turned the tape over to United States soldiers in Iraq, he said.

Fox reported that American military intelligence officers believed the the tape was authentic. Pentagon officials declined to comment Wednesday night.

Under-30s in Bush camp
NY DAILY NEWS

WASHINGTON - Young Americans are far more likely than older people to support President Bush, trust the government and see good things in Iraq, according to a new poll.
The survey shows the Democrats have their work cut out to win the hearts of twentysomethings, a demographic that is generally considered more liberal.

According to the new CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll, 62% of 19- to 29-year-olds expressed support for the President, versus 53% of over-30s.

Sixty-one percent say attacking Iraq was "worth it," compared with 53% of their elders.

And youngsters are more optimistic about the economy, with 58% saying it's getting better, versus 48% for older folks.

Twentysomethings also are far more likely to tell pollsters they trust the government in Washington to "do what's right" most of the time.

Nineteen percent of the twentysomethings identify themselves as liberal, while 27% said they are conservative.

Winston Churchill would be horrified.

He is widely quoted as having said, "If you're not a liberal when you're 20, you have no heart; if you're not a conservative when you're 40, you have no brain."
