You don't bang on the same thing day after day after day after Jew hatred obsessed day <g> I know what you mean. I used to trade posts with Emile years ago now (5 years, man a long time) and he'd always say things like "satanic anti-christ Israel" and things like that. Me being right in the middle of the dominant Christian view of today that Israel is still sacred to God I rejected everything Emile said. But over time I have looked at what he says. We have to if we are to be "intellectually honest" or as scripture says "have a love of the truth". There were clues along the way also that had to be investigated. The Christian views about Israel today have to stand the challenge and prevail or fall. Talking to Shalom for a long time on his thread also gave insight into different aspects of end times. I went through a sort of self "deprogramming" like cult members do when they come out of a cult. I was deprogrammed from the prevailing Christian end times view about the standing of the nation Israel and it's place in the end times. When I stopped accepting things because it was hammered into me "by rote" and started trying to support it through the Word I found that it is unsupportable from the Word. The scriptures used to support the "good" role of Israel are misinterpreted, just like the Scriptures they use to support pre-trib rapture are so twisted it's almost funny (if it was not such a deadly deception). And some of what Emile said is supported by Scripture. I see a far different picture now than I did 5 years ago. And the Church is very deceived. Deceived by Israel and the lie of pre-trib rapture. The devil has been working hard and is very clever. So I said all that to say that we have to get over the knee jerk reaction we get when anyone says something negative about Israel or Jews. I don't in any way advocate any hatred. But we have to be in the middle so we can weigh things objectively, or be deceived.
