a few years ago a physicist claimed to have proof that listening to Beethoven's Late Quartets made you noble. You didn't just FEEL more noble, you actually BECAME more noble.

I just put them on.

I'll ask my wife tonight whether she thinks I've become any more noble. Given the near perfection of my present nobility, though, further improvement might be hard to recognize.

I had read that about the music and grains of sand, too -- very interesting stuff.

I wonder what the grains of sand would do if the experimenters played rap "music" at them -- probably rush leeming-like to the edge of the sheet and leap off to their deaths.

Science has proven that when we learn something, our brain physically changes. So I think there is scientific basis for saying that spending your time imbibing noble things ennobles you. And conversely, spending time watching crap.......

You didn't just FEEL more noble, you actually BECAME more noble.
