Hitler's lighting strike as you call it, was little more than modern tanks surrounding hillsides with unarmed peasants with horses and donkeys below:

In fact, history has shown that Hitler was a horrible decision maker regarding war strategy, and killed off the generals who could have won the wars for him. Hitler was just a loser, who was born to lose, regardless of how many he took down with him; including but not limited to, his entire country for 50 years enslavement to the Soviets

As far as Syria is concerned, the US and Israel with support from Turkey, who will participate under NATO, is more than ready to take on Syria, who's Air Force no longer exists and who's economy has been sorely affacted by the fall of Saddam.

Syris has a come-uppance on the way;
you can bet your bottm dollar on that.

There is also a secret US Marine base being set up in Northern Israel, to keep supplies fresh.

You heard our President yesterday, "We are at War"

Those arent empty words, and when the United States is on the march, great prosperity is sure to follow; after the carnage.

Syria -- while assuredly no match for the US or Israel -- is much stronger and better armed than Iraq was prior to the invasion. Their military has not been crippled by a two decades of war and sanctions. So the cost of a US or Israeli attack is likely to be much greater than the few hundred killed in Iraq -- quite apart from the inevitable MASSIVE jihadist retaliation.

re: Perhaps they are able to make a Hitler style "lightening strike"?

little huangy, here I am confused - you either admire hitler or comparing might of syria to that of soviet union.

Woe, maybe syria should take over china and show huangys how it really should be done <ggggg>
