SWKS - took quite a hit....down about 2.00....high volume in pm "InPlay: 7:49AM Skyworks cut to Sector Perform at CIBC (SWKS) 10.74: CIBC is downgrading this wireless semiconductor company to Sector Perform from Sector Outperform after co reported last night. Firm says the new rating reflects moderated growth assumptions -- although the firm continues to believe co is well positioned for earnings improvement next year. Firm says co has been unable to show growth for three Qs, and the firm's prior aggressive estimates appear unreasonable in the near term. Firm continues to believe in long-term fundamental value; leveraged business model should help drive earnings expansion in 2H CY04 and '05 - should trade in line with group near term."
