As a Libertarian, I'm very concerned about government corruption. As a thinking person, I know there is no evidence presented of Bush or Cheney doing anything to favor Haliburton or anyone, and that good companies with great capabilities are going to get a job done.

That's exactly where I come in on that issue, Dan.

Skeptical of government? Quite. Willing to lap up every half-brained, reaching conspiracy that bubbles up from the confused reptilian minds of scattered portions of the unwashed masses? Never.

Dan,

OK, one more time around the merry-go-round.....

Re: As a thinking person, I know there is no evidence presented of Bush or Cheney doing anything to favor Haliburton or anyone,

Did you actually bother to read the information presented by the Center for Public Integrity? Doesn't anything register with you w/r/t Cheney and Halliburton? Perhaps you are unaware that after Cheney gave up his post as Secretary of Defense that he became the CEO of Halliburton? Do you accept this as fact #1?

Then, do you accept as fact #2 that while CEO of Halliburton that Cheney helped to double the government contracts that Halliburton received?

Then, do accept fact #3 that shortly after Cheney resigned his position as CEO of Halliburton and became U.S. Vice President that Halliburton was awarded an unprecedented 10 year no bid LOGCAP logistics contract with the U.S. Army?

And do you accept fact # 4 that not only does Dick Cheney still receive deferred compensation from Halliburton nearly equaling his government pay, but that several other ex-Halliburton executives work in the Bush White House and also receive deferred pay, along with retaining stock options as does Cheney?

What part of graft and corruption don't you understand?
