Coleman is the only democrat I ever voted for and felt good about it. I lived in St. Paul when he ran for mayor the first time. both men are former Democrats. Because he switched parties ( traitor ) and he took Wellstone's seat ( ghoul ) democrats hate him with a passion that is unusual for this state. Garrison Keilor wrote an editorial right after the election so full of vitriol and spite, he must have broken 3 keyboards typing it. And personal. He took out Coleman's motives, Mrs. Coleman, his family, his religion, etc. The kind of thing you might write to get your anger out of your system and then burn so no one would see it, but the Red Star published it, with relish. A bit of trivia, the last 3 men to hold that Senate seat have been Jews. Kind of remarkable from a state that 75 years ago may have been the most anti-semitic in the country.
