Once you own all the guns you can carry, the surplus is not going to make much difference.

I came away with the impression that it was the availability that made the difference in resorting to gun violence. 40 guns stuffed into the same locked vault is much less worrisome than if you feel the need to stash one in every drawer and a couple more in your boot.
