President George Bush

October 30, 2003

Dear President Bush,
I understand that you are in the midst of a political nightmare from which you have no hope of escaping. I also understand that your cronies are applying pressure to you to pay them back for putting you in the White House.
What I don't understand is why you are taking all of your anger, frustration, and hatred out on our national forests. You have undone 20 years of planet saving legislation in one term in the Presidential office. I am ashamed that the People of the United States were duped by you. Off and one for your entire term in the White House, you have received e-mails from me and others who do have voting power.
I guarantee that will be your last term in office because all of the people you promised things to cannot be satisfied. Those people are the ones currently suffering the most: Joe Citizen. Joe Citizen is tired of losing everything from their jobs and homes to their forests. If you are unable to fix the economy, please leave the forests so that people may find peace.
I also don't know what possessed you to think that you could UNprotect them in the first place. You seem to treat the military as if it were your own PRIVATE police force. The forests, regardless of what you may think, DO NOT BELONG TO YOU TO GIVE AWAY AS YOU SEE FIT. The forest belong to America. Leave them alone. Thank you for your time. Have a good day.
