I initially included Nixon but decided to do a bit of fact checking before I finalized my post. It turns out that a former ambassador by the name of Charles M. Lichenstein worked as a ghostwriter on "Six Crisis." I suspect that except for the inevitable research assistants that Nixon personally wrote all of his books after his resignation. I actually quoted one of the opening lines from his memoirs ("I was not born in the house my father built") during a job interview. A pregnant pause followed. No second interview. <gg>
