About the only WEAK defense I could offer for the drug companies is that it's a very expensive and time-consuming process to take a new chemical entity from the lab through the clinic and then to the Pharmacies. There is so much waste, costly abuse, etc. in these companies that there really is no excuse for the prices that Americans pay for their medications. I'll refrain from further comment before I annoy Don W and the other readers of this thread. Regards, Ian
