I like 13, but I like it because it stopped rapacious assessors that were operating bfore it. 1.5%? Fine. I've got no problem with that- -if it stays at that. And assessments don't go berserk as they were when 13 was passed.

I think that California voters would do themselves a big favor by voting for a few Republicans for jobs like State Treasurer even if the candidate is pro-life. It's not like the State Treasurer is going to change this law.
Actually, that's true of the governor too. A President can't change Roe v. Wade; how can a governor?

Nevertheless, it remains a litmus test for many.
