Continuing to pressure Saddam???...and exactly how was that happening?

By continuing to enforce the no fly zone and keep the inspectors doing their jobs.

How many palaces did Saddam build while we were putting on the pressure?

None.

How many people did hr kill and torture while we were putting on the pressure?

How many, from the time that Bush first mentioned that we would go to war with Saddam in February 2003? You answer this question.

How many times did he tell Anan to jump up his butt while we were putting on the pressure?

Jump up his Butt? None I would venture.

The inspectors should have been allowed more time. Diplomatic pressure should have been intensified and human rights should have been brought to the forefront. All the while diplomacy should have been going forward in the UN and multilateraly with all our allies. All with the threat of force mightily in hand. But no unleashing the military might of the US and our allies until a clear program for post war Iraq was drawn. This administration has made mistake followed by mistake in Iraq.

I have stated this time and time again. This was the right path to go on. War is a last resort. Bush mislead us down the wrong path. And now we pay every day in blood and treasure for his errors.

I truly believe that the coalition could have included Germany and France, if not for the arrogant and ill spoken Bush. Bush is not a leader. I'll bet that Kerry or Clark would have had them included. Russia and China as well.

Did you see Bush at his press conference? He was angry. Angry with the press for asking pointed questions, with which he only had the same old tired answers for. The linkage of 9-11 and Iraq among them. Anger is not a quality of leadership. It's the quality displayed by a spoiled bully.

Leadership knows the difference between patience and action and when to apply each. Bush does not have this capacity.

By the way, Saddam is not my buddy, he's yours. Coddled by 12 years of republican party support till he was the most dangerous madman on the planet, created by you. Same samo for bin Laden, your other buddy.
