That's California.

Back in 1979 the mediteranian fruit fly showed up near San Francisco. We knew that when it began to populate it would destroy the fruit crops all through the state. Governor Moon Beam hesitated do to the political rock and hard place he was in.

Within weeks it was obvious that the problem would destroy the economy of California so they eventually spayed in the nick of time. It could have been easily dealt with initially but it cost millions once the problem had spread. It could have been worse though. That was the end of Governor Browns tenure as Governor.

Their electricity problem was created by similar neglegent attitudes. Now we have to share Colorado Electricity with them and our rates are going through the roof.

The forest problems are of a similar nature and we were all made aware of the extent last summer when Colorado and New Mexico were on fire.

It seems like the feds could put some contingencies on their help like the world bank does to third world countries when it loans money. Third world countries have to show progress in a free enterprise economy to receive loans. The feds could require California to send tree huggers and PITA members to France. Or just require them sober up and take care of their state. Three generations of being stoned 24 hours a day is starting to take its toll.
