I never said Kerry was burly. He's tall and lean. He's Abe Lincoln'esque without the beard. Craggily handsome. In Hollywood, they would cast him as a president. Just needs some grey on the temples.

Kerry is indeed a stud. I'm a big guy who isn't afraid of too much, but I wouldn't dare do the things he does for fun. I'm scared of heights. He flies aerobatic stunts and barrel rolls. I find guns way too noisy. He shoots for fun. Ditto Harley-Davidsons. Kerry is an expert windsurfer. I tried to learn and wiped out a dozen times before I gave up. He volunteered for combat. I would have joined Cheney and the rest and gotten a college deferment.

You have to be impressed with Kerry. He's not just some egghead in a suit who knows every policy detail necessary and has the right views on everything, he's a real man's man, as well as a woman's man. That goes to image and the reality of the man too. That's about as presidential as you get. This is one reason the GOP set out to attack him so fiercely when he started running. They knew that despite his being from Massachusetts, he could beat Bush if the public got a fair look at the two men side by side. There's really no comparison. Kerry by a landslide. He's also picked up a sense of humor BTW. Bottomline, watch to se who the GOp attacks. Kerry and Clark only. Those are the only guys they fear, because they're courageous heros, and yes, studs.
