Phil > it is difficult for me to consider that Israel would be behind some of these events.

Actually I agree with most of what Michael Rivera says at his whatreallyhappened.com site.

Based solely on where the benefit for the 911 attack fell, I believed Israel was involved from the moment it happened. For some time, Israel had wanted to get the US involved in a common, terrorist-type war with Muslim "extremists" and 911 was the way it was done. And, indeed, nothing which has transpired since then has changed my mind. In fact, the lack of a proper enquiry plus a "thousand" unexplained circumstances have reinforced my original opinion. However, I will go so far as to concede that if the Mossad wasn't actually behind 911 then they certainly knew everything about it before it happened.

Further, whoever or whatever al Qaeda is I have no doubt that Israeli agents have infiltrated that organization in the same way that they have infiltrated Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Al Aqsa, Hisbollah and the other terrorist organizations which operate in Israel itself. It is my view that the last thing Israel wants is to trade land for peace and it far prefers this low-grade, tit-for-tat terrorist-type war to actually sitting down with moderate Palestinians and seriously talking peace. In the meanwhile, it expands its settlements into Palestinian land and destroys the Palestinian infrastructure all the while proclaiming that it is the victim of "terrorism", not its cause.

> Yeah, Unc. Murphy has been crying wolf forever. Maybe one day a wolf will actually appear

That's how I used to tease him when he was still on the thread. I supposed he used to get pissed with me but we did get on quite well, nevertheless.

> For more relief, I think I will check out Jim Sinclair's site.

Sure, Jim is more amusing, especially since one knows he's short the dollar and long gold, big-time. In fact, I don't know how he sleeps at night because he must have enormous bets.

> Unlike you, these guys certainly know how to warm the cockles of a gold bug's heart!!!!

Just for that, I'll give your chain a tweak! I suppose you have seen that the USD is beginning to look quite strong with MACD and RSI indices having turned up sharply.

Phil > I must keep an open mind and not allow long held views to prejudice my opinions.

See how far your mind can stretch around this which, I have to say, even for me, is a more than a little "over the top". Nevertheless, it's a very interesting story and quite worthy of presentation on a "gold" forum.

I think you may find this is in accord with your own views:

>>>Put simply, America is now completely broke. The U.S. dollar is falling like a stone and unemployment is climbing through the roof. Most of America’s manufacturing capacity was shifted years ago to “cheap labor” countries overseas, and there is no practical way of getting it back. For nearly twelve months the Dow Jones Index has been rigged by computers, desperately trying to create an illusion of relative wealth.<<<
