PT,

Re: Indeed, yet another example of GOPwingers making a mockery of the electoral process.

I was thinking that yesterday. It is completely unprecedented during a major natural disaster for any Governor-elect to get the fawning adulation that Schwarzenegger was getting, completely upstaging Gov. Davis who was actually doing all the work to coordinate the effort in the SoCal fires. Schwarzenegger was merely acting. I'm disgusted with the direction the media, in particular TV and talk radio, are trying to steer the gullible American electorate.

Re: All considered, perhaps Davis really was the governor he was supposed to be and people just didn't realize it.

I'm appalled that efforts by the GHP to pin the blame for the California energy crisis on Gray Davis was largely successful. Far too many California voters are clueless that the phony energy crisis, with its attendant budget deficits, was almost entirely manufactured by men within the power corridors of the Republican party. Be they pols like Pete Wilson, or utility owners or power marketers, they are all scoundrels, and all Republicans. Sorry to be redundant.
