Here's a novel idea. If they're so interested in symbolism, why don't the English and Italians GIVE the President an Augusta Westland helicopter as a symbol of their gratitude for all we've done for them in the past 50 years.

President Bush is being pressed by his two closest European allies to award the contract for the U.S. presidential helicopter to the Anglo-Italian Augusta Westland company, replacing Connecticut-based Sikorsky Aircraft Corp.
