Asian Trackers - Premium to NAV "Buy the dip" ? or time to sell the excess...? Premiums on some of the Asian closed enders are plain astronomical... CHN (Chinese) 29% - yes, twenty nine percent over NAV...(before catching considerable popularity this item traded at a discount in the teens....) TDF (Chinese stocks but seemingly less high tech) 1.23% premium....this one has traditionally had a lower premium though it did shoot up to 10% last week before a crushing high volume reversal..see chart below... TTF (Thailand) 28.61% - again, historically very high... JOF (smaller cap Japanese issues) 16.5% TDF remains my favorite because of its lower premium. Kastle,I said what I said about China in responce to a pronouncement that seemed to permitt no other view. China is an largely un known quantity with a long history of political, social,monetary and financial totalitarianism.Any investor should be aware of the possibility of state intervention in the movements of capital.Capital that might be yours. But boy ,that yellow costume built merc must provide a wonderful vantage point on the world .g
