I don't think it sounds pompous. I don't say this to be unkind, but it sounds naive. We can't possible know the details of His plan as it unfolds in our time. Even the apostles didn't have a clue what a mighty victory had been accomplished on Good Friday. It took Thomas some days after Easter for it to sink in. He doesn't need tactical advice from us. The Victory is already won. It is up to us to live our lives as God gives us light to live it, and to try our inadequate best to obey His Will as the Spirit reveals it to us. As for my witness, I accept Jesus as my Lord and savior. When I had my children baptized, I renounced the devil and all his works in front of God and the congregation. I look forward to Jesus' return in my life or after.
