You have it wrong. We don't pay for defense anymore. We now pay for OFFENSE. Why wait, when we can go in anywhere we want, blow up a country that has no weapons to speak of, and then pay to rebuild it. And what's more and even better, we can pay to restock the weapons we used up. I understand the guy that's running North Korea is a very bad guy, and has broken a few UN resolutions to boot. What are we waiting for? A new opportunity! Money to be made.

You're really full of it. Defense spending is HUGE these days. Dont try to minimize that. We just got socked for 87 billion of deficit spending for that stupid war in Iraq. Don't even go there, pal.

Privately, the GOP already knows Iraq is a disaster and they're just waiting to try and find a noble-looking way out.
